ASB Bank and Age Concern New Zealand have partnered together to help keep you and your money safe. Our nationwide campaign will run for the month of October and will raise awareness about financial safety - including financial abuse, scamming and personal online security. 


Elder abuse is a serious issue in New Zealand. 54% of elder abuse cases seen by Age Concern involves elder abuse and neglect. Age Concern New Zealand and ASB Bank are determined to protect your money from financial abuse and scams. Through our campaign we will deliver presentations across the country and create resoruces which will give you the information to keep you and your money safe. 

Register for the Presentations
With the help of ASB Bank, 12 Age Concerns across New Zealand will be delivering presentations in October which will focus on financial abuse, scams, and online safety. The presentations will cover what financial abuse looks like and how to prevent yourself and loved ones from being financially abused. Little Black Book of Scams - Produced by the Commission for Financial Capability, The Little Black Book of Scams outlines how scammers target their victims and trick them into parting with their money, gives tips on how people can protect themselves, points out the ‘red flags’ that give away a scam, what to do if you’ve fallen for one, and the various agencies to which you can report different types of scams.

Top 10 Tips Poster- Age Concern New Zealand have put together a list of 10 top tips to promote respect and prevent abuse. You can print this poster out and hang it up in your home and/or workplace.
