At the Age Concern Counties Manukau Inc’s bi-monthly network meeting of representatives, from organisations providing services to older people in the region, one of the identified issues was the recurring frustration for older people to attend to small jobs around the home.
This is especially true if they do not have family or friends readily available to assist them.
We are delighted to advise this identified need has been addressed and we appointed Peter Freestone in September 2010 to carry out these tasks and also provide a support service where we can provide information, and advice to enhance older people’s safety and quality of life.
