Services 

  • Handyman Fieldworker Service (see item on right menu)
  • Support Services, Information, Advice and Personal Advocacy:
    Responding in person/phone to a range of queries from older people and their carers eg. Advising where to obtain a service, what is available. Providing confidential support and empowerment to older people.
  • Information Resources:
    Providing written materials eg. pamphlets and resources eg. videos and books.

  • Accredited Visiting Services:
    Providing visitors who make regular visits to socially isolated older people in their homes via Age Concern Accredited Visiting Service.  We are always looking for more visitors all ages of adults and all ethnic groups welcome, contact us for more information now.  margareta@accm.org.nz  Our existing visitors range in age from 18 -88 from more than 20 different ethnic groups.  We need volunteers and clients now please contact us 2794331 ext 800!!

  • Volunteers: Our volunteers help in a large variety of ways, if you want to help Age Concern Counties Manukau promote the rights and wellbeing of older people in your community contact us now!

  • Health Promotion - Education:
    Holding education and health promotion programmes for the public eg. Texting for Seniors, Preparing for Bereavement, Scooter Safe, Step Ahead falls prevention courses, Eat Well/ Live Well Enduring Power of Attorney,etc. contact admin@accm.org.nz for details of when a programme is running in your area.   • We also regularly run Seminars about services available in your area bringing along community experts as guest speakers to tell you about WINZ, Civil Defence, Police, St John,etc.  please contact us to register your interest. 

  • Elder Abuse and Neglect Prevention Service:
    Providing FREE confidential support, advocacy and information for people facing elder abuse and neglect.   We also provide in-service training.  For advice support or information please contact eanp@accm.org.nz or call the office to be put through to one of our social workers 2794331 ext 800

  • Total Mobility Scheme:
    Providing assessment and provision of Total Mobility taxi vouchers. Contact admin@accm.org.nz to book an appointment for your assessment with one of our accredited assessors.

  • Loan  equipment: Wheelchairs; available for hire.

  • Representation:
    Providing representation and advice on older peoples' issues to local influential groups eg. District Councils, PHOs.Age Concern Counties Manukau office at Cambria Park
