Men's Health Week Te Wiki Hauora Tane
Men’s Health Week ran from 13 to 19 June this year. Age Concern has been a leading promoter of the week's activities in New Zealand for many years.
We serve the needs of older people, and men and their health needs are an important part of our work.
Awareness of men's health issues has increased, and Age Concerns are continuing to take an active role in promoting men's health in local communities.
Men's Health Week provides a focus. It's celebrated in many countries around the world to:
- Draw attention to men's health issues
- Promote healthy living for men
- Provide health information for men.
For men and their families around New Zealand it is an opportunity to take control of health and look for steps that can prevent illness; and promote wellbeing and enjoyment of life.

Take our three-point plan:
- Get a health warrant of fitness now – it may help prevent problems later
- Take action to stay healthy – eat well and exercise regularly
- Get early help with any problem – it will make you feel better to have more information about it.
