Hope in dementia crisis

Treating residents with respect: here in New Zealand, in just one rest home, there's a been a revolution, and there's new hope for sufferers and their families.

It's the most significant health and social crisis of the century - because of the global cost of $100 billion plus. It's incurable and rates are soaring - Dementia, the cruel and heart breaking degenerative symptom of brain disease that not only destroys the life of the sufferer but impacts on the whole family. The World Health Organisation wants to make dementia a world priority because sufferers will double by 2030 and treble by 2050.
