A tip for people travelling by air who have difficulties managing a heavy bag.

If you are travelling with Air New Zealand and have purchased a ticket that restricts you to one piece of checked-in luggage, you may be allowed to split the weight (up to the maximum weight limit allowed) between two pieces of luggage without being charged extra. This would be at the discretion of the airport.

Make enquiries when you make your booking, phone the airport or ring Air New Zealand, freephone (within New Zealand) on 0800 737 000.
