Mobile message against abuse

The back of a Kaitaia community bus has been made a moving billboard for the Elder Abuse is not OK message.

 Minister for Senior Citizens John Carter (centre-right, by the bus) and Age Concern Kaitaia and District Manager Glenis Hill (centre-left, by the bus door) joined Kaitaia community leaders to launch the bus on 12 June.  

“The government and the community, through the It's not OK Campaign and Age Concern New Zealand, are raising awareness of elder abuse and the need for families to respect older people’s wishes,”  Mr Carter said.
