Checking scams and spams

Check out the truth of those great-sounding offers, 'helpful warnings' or charity requests in your email, social network site, or Web surfing.

You can copy a portion of their message or website text and paste it into a search engine like Google. The result may show it's a hoax or fraud that has been circulating for many years. Remember the old saying: 'If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is."
