past 25 years and with St John for the last seven years. Currently Michelle
works for St John as the Right Care Advisor Hauora Māori this is a national
role; she has been in her current role for 8 months and enjoys the challenges
of this new role for St John and her. Previously she held the role of the South
Island Pou Takawaenga (Māori Liaison) and prior to that the South Island
Regional Youth Manager with St John.
She is committed to working with St John and the Community
to build a greater working relationship and understanding of Te Ao Maori,

members of St John.
Her passion is to awhi (help), tautoko (support), manaaki

to work together with all cultures, age groups and genders to grow the
confidence and capacity of us all.
Attending the Age Concern Conference is an awesome
opportunity to work together and to look at the needs of our kaumatua (older
generation) from now and into the future.
