Dr Diana Amundsen’s research interests span adult learning and development with a particular focus on transition experiences of marginalised groups. Diana’s current research focus is around working with transitions in the lives of older adults, positive ageing and longevity issues. Diana hopes that when you leave her presentation, you will stop, and think twice before using the word ‘elderly’, with the knowledge that it is a discriminatory term that needs to disappear.
Diana lived in Japan some time ago and speaks fluent Japanese.
