Dr Joanne Taylor has a 17-year research programme on driving anxiety. Driving anxiety is a diverse phenomenon that is experienced by many older adults, with about 38% of older drivers reporting some degree of driving anxiety and associated reduction in driving, and moderate to extreme anxiety affecting nearly 11%. Joanne’s presentation will provide findings from NZPATHS about the relationships between driving anxiety and health and quality of life in current drivers aged 65 and over.
