Holly Teagle AuD

Associate Professor, University of Auckland
Clinical Director of Audiology and Habilitation, The Hearing House

Holly Teagle is the Clinical Director of Audiology and Habilitation at The Hearing House, the cochlear implant centre for northern New Zealand.  The “take-home” message from Holly’s presentation will be that hearing connects people to families and communities, improves quality of life and combats depression and social isolation. Today’s hearing technologies work well and all who need them should have access.   Evidence indicates the risk of dementia disease increases with hearing loss severity and could be reduced with the treatment of hearing loss.
