Jane Wrightson became the Retirement Commissioner, head of crown entity the Commission for Financial Capability, in early 2020 after a thirty-year stint in media. She has been the chief executive of public media funder NZ On Air; of the Broadcasting Standard Authority, a regulator; and of advocacy body the Screen Producers’ Association. Jane became NZ’s first woman chef film censor after a decade in various programming and commissioning roles with TVNZ. She is chair of Experience Wellington, a council-controlled organisation (CCO), and is a director of Radio NZ.
Jane holds an MBA with distinction, a BA in literature, and is a Distinguished Alumnus of Massey University.
