Since starting in her current role in February 2020, Julie Palmer’s focus has been on the interRAI Service design review. Working closely with colleagues across the Ministry and TAS, Julie is supporting implementation of the service design recommendations.
Prior to this, Julie led a range of service improvement programmes, most recently managing the Mobility Action Programme (MAP), a community-based, evidence-informed early intervention programme for people with musculoskeletal health conditions.
A registered Nurse with an MBA, Julie has worked in health for over 30 years and is committed to the improvements in our health system that ensure it works better for all New Zealanders. She has two children and lives in Wellington with her husband.
