Professor Jennie Connor

Professor Emerita, Preventive and Social Medicine
University of Otago

Professor Jennie Connor is an epidemiologist and public health physician, and has recently retired from the Chair in Preventive and Social Medicine at the University of Otago.  Professor Connor will present findings from interviews with children of the older drivers enrolled in NZPATHS, that shed light on their involvement in their parent’s transition out of driving, and some of the issues that could arise. In considering policy and practice around cessation of driving for older people, Professor Connor believes we need to be cognisant of the important role that families play, consult them, and support them.
