Tafaoimalo Loudeen Parsons

Senior Researcher and Community Worker, Pacific Section
The Family Centre

With colleagues from the Family Centre, Tafaoimalo Loudeen Parsons will share findings from the Samoan, Cook Island, Tongan and Tokelau communities of Elders’ responses to questions they co-created with them around loneliness and social isolation in a Pacific New Zealand context.  Loudeen and her colleagues want people to appreciate the culturally-specific issues around loneliness and social isolation for Pacific Elders so that policies and service provision can be attentive to their communities.
