Dr Kay Saville-Smith PhD (Lancs), MNZM

Centre for Research Evaluation and Social Assessment (CRESA)

Dr Kay Saville-Smith has undertaken extensive research around seniors in the context of housing markets, housing demand, retirement villages, accessible housing, sustainable housing, the residential building industry and neighbourhood built environments. She is currently co-leading the Affordable Housing for Generations research programme, looking at effective, practical, research-based solutions to provide affordable housing for low income households.  To be ageing well, we need housing which supports seniors’ functionality and agency in their lives - not just existence.

Kay also has a model train collection and a blog on making pies.
