Dr Matthew Croucher is a psychiatrist of old age and academic working for the Canterbury DHB.  Dr Croucher has a special interest and expertise in dementia and has South Island and national responsibilities relating to improving services for New Zealanders living with dementia as well as for their families and whānau.  He was part of the expert advisory group that coordinate the first national Dementia Action Plan.
