In health research, Dr Mere Kepa has a lengthy tradition of fostering International links with Indigenous Peoples ageing successfully, and critically thinking about a future in an Aotearoa New Zealand where cultural diversity and innovation are keenly valued.  Mere has been the community consultant researcher to the Ageing Well National Science Challenge-funded feasibility study and the full study, Ngā Kaumātua, ō Matou Taonga: Supporting kaumātua health in a changing world. Both projects are based at James Henare Research Centre, University of Auckland. In her presentation, Mere shall explore ways in which older Māori people in rural Tai Tokerau (Northland) age successfully.
