Support Services, Information, Advice and Personal Advocacy:
Responding in person/phone to a range of queries from older people
and their carers eg. Advising where to obtain a service, what is
available. Providing confidential support and empowerment to older
people.

Providing written materials eg. pamphlets and resources eg. pamphlets and resources.

Education:
Monthly meetings, Men's Health, Community updates, Health Promotions. All welcome.

A confidential service to provide support, information and advice to
older people, their families and care givers on issues of elder abuse
& neglect. If you have concerns about the way you are being treated,
how your money is being spent, the quality of your care or how your
property is being used, contact Age Concern. elder abuse and neglect

Accredited Visiting Service: (AVS) [email protected] 07 578 2541 This free
service works to decrease the level of social isolation and loneliness
of older people in the community. We provide a trained, caring volunteer
who will visit regularly for championship and friendship.

Total Mobility Scheme:
Providing assessment and provision of Total Mobility taxi vouchers for reduced fares for people with disabilities or health problems

Social Activities:
Weekly craft, cards and walking group. Minibus excursions.

LifeTubes:
A Life Saving Initiative where personal & medical information is
stored in a tube in your fridge. Small charge.

Personal Journal: "share with your loved one"
This booklet contains your personal details and wishes to those who
take control of your affairs either on your death or if you
become unable to manage you your own affairs. Small charge.

Drivers Refresher Course: A classroom based programme. Familiarising yourself with traffic rules and road safety.

Representation:
Providing representation and advice on older peoples' issues to local
influential groups eg District Councils.

SAYGo (Steady As You Go) Falls Prevention programme: An exercise programme especially designed for older people that increases strength, balance, mobility, participation and social inclusion for older people.
